One Pixel Solid

I've been doing a oodles of projects in Expression Engine lately & I've become reliant on a collection of extensions, plugins and modules that make it an unstoppable force. Here's my top ten in order of usage.

1. LG htaccess generator - A default for all projects. It allows removal 'index.php' in urls while keeping your pages search engine friendly.
2. Fieldframe - This is my favourite new powertool. Fieldframe can turn a tedious admin interface into something usable and streamlined. Brandon's also done a stella job with the site documentation and support!
3. nGen File Field - Replaces the default EE upload interface with an inline upload, complete with thumbnail previews. This is actually a 'field type' of the aforementioned Fieldframe module.
4. Image Sizer - Forget about telling clients to resize, save and upload various images for different display sizes. Using 'image sizer', one large image can be used at different sizes and crops. Also includes caching!
5. MD Markitup - Gives you the ability to create a simple lightweight psuedo WSYIWYG with your own custom buttons and outputs.
6. Freeform - Create forms on the fly and store submissions in the database. Results can be sorted, filtered, emailed and exported. Also includes templates for email notifications to site users and site administrators.
7. FoxEE - The best solution for adding E-Commerce to EE. For the most part, the integration is seamless and quite impressive.
8. LG Twitter - Allows updating of your Twitter status when publishing weblog entries.
9. Playa - Another 'field type' for Fieldframe which provides clever 'related entry' functionality.
10. LG Better Meta - The best extension available for extensive site wide and individual weblog entry SEO.

These two musketeers will be joining the family as of 11th December. I'm so so excited, yet I have no idea what consequences we'll be dealt. Guess we'll find out soon.
